Let me ask you some questions?

Do you sometimes feel lonely, even when you are together with family, friends or in social groups?

Do you find yourself craving for approval from others in your life?

Do you find that your emotions holding you back and you are hiding your true self?

Why might that be?

Humans are hard-wired to connect to each other – it’s been a survival strategy for almost 200,000 years.

We want to belong and are afraid to be cast away. It’s the one reason that our society works the way it does.

This is a Catch 22 situation, as most of us also outsource our emotional satisfaction and allow others to rule our internal world.

  • You have learnt very early in your life to take on the role of the good girl or put on a mask to allow you to feel safe while taking care of others’ emotional states.
  • It was a great strategy as a child and young adult when you had limited options but are you still playing it safe?
  • You might even forget that you are wearing a mask.

  • You feel unable to take care of your own emotions.
  • Instead, you may blame others for your unhappiness, unfulfillment or anger.
